What you'll do

As the Head of Marketing, you’re tasked with leading our global marketing strategy. Every day you and your team will be cooking up marketing campaigns that shine the spotlight on our software and the problems that it solves.

You're accountable for growing and nurturing sales pipeline, increasing feature uptake, and positioning Arlo as the global authority in the learning technology industry.


  • Work closely with the CEO and Executive team on the Business Plan and roadmap for growth.

  • Develop and manage the marketing strategy, plan, and budget, including regional strategies (North America, APAC, and UK/Europe).

  • Define and evolve the company’s brand and value proposition.


  • Continually monitor and improve lead generation and conversion rates through the sales funnel.

  • Manage messaging across all marketing channels, ensuring it’s consistent and compelling.

  • Assist your team on:Product marketing activity - eg. launching new features, pricing, out of box experience
    Digital advertising activity - eg. search & display ads, software review sites
    SEO and content marketing activity - eg. webinars, blog, newsletter, social media
    Analysis of the competitive environment and industry trends
    Up-sell and cross-sell opportunities within the Sales and Success teams
    The development of tools and resources to support the Sales team.


  • Lead, grow and develop direct reports. Ensure the team are continuously developing and have learning and development plans in place for the skills we need now and in the future

  • Recruit, train and integrate new members of the team.

  • Role model our values and set clear expectations by giving clear and honest feedback, and promptly address any performance or behaviour issues

  • Build and promote a positive working environment for the team.


  • A minimum of 3 years in a people leadership role.

  • A minimum of 10 years experience in digital marketing roles.

  • Experience marketing to a global audience, particularly North America.

  • Experience in a B2B SaaS company would be an advantage

  • Experience using our martech stack, e.g. Marketo, Wordpress, Drift, Moz, Data Studio, GA

Skills & qualifications

  • Educated to degree level preferred but not essential.

  • Tech native - comfortable talking tech and driving the latest marketing tools.

  • Data savvy - comfortable manipulating data and getting deep into analytics.

  • Writing - ability to translate complex ideas in silky copy.

  • Inbound - an understanding of inbound marketing and the growth levers that can be pulled.


  • Natural leader - Confident and dynamic personality who can engage with people at all levels

  • Entrepreneurial - commercial mindset with the ability to spot market opportunities

  • Analytical - this is not a fluffy marketing role; you’ll be a tech lover, comfortable with complexity and keen to understand the intricacies of our product.

  • Results-driven and self-motivated - you’ll need to hit deadlines and execute to perfection.

  • Team player - you’ll lead a team who have fun and bounce ideas off each other.


  • Our head office is soon to be Petone, Wellington waterfront. It’s a stunning waterfront location that’s just 5 minutes from the train station and will be decked out with the latest tech and comforts.
