Job Description
As a Managed Service Provider experiencing significant growth, our client requires someone to work fulltime at our Auckland Office in the CBD, with at least 5 years’ experience creating and deploying Microsoft Azure IaaS, 365 technologies and on-premises server infrastructure.
As part of a tight and professional team, your role will be to deploy and support Microsoft Azure/365 and on-premises infrastructure solutions. Your skills must include:
Excellent, demonstratable Microsoft Azure and 365 skills in deployment, configuration and security best practices and hands on deployment.
Self-motivated and able to complete a 365 or Azure IaaS implementation as the project lead and primary implementer.
Microsoft Azure and 365 Certifications are required with the ambition to continue to obtain all required certifications and upskill in new technologies.
Excellent English and communication skills as you will be liaising directly with our clients, and you will need to explain technical solutions and problems in plain language.
Strong in both on-premises and Azure cloud Infrastructure, specifically Hyper-V.
Experience supporting, troubleshooting, fault resolution with Remote Desktop, RemoteApp, Azure Virtual Desktop solutions.
Able to troubleshoot LAN/WAN/WIFI network issues from start to finish
Can communicate clearly and professionally, both in writing and verbally with end users and business owners alike.
Can take ownership of tasks and projects and deliver outcomes for clients and manage expectations.
A “can-do” attitude towards all technical problems and challenges.
Willingness to roll up their sleeves and help other team members.
Willingness to pick up the phone and call clients directly to help resolve their problems quickly.
Great at documentation of technical solutions.
Great with PowerShell scripting.

About the role
As an NZ owned and operating MSP experiencing significant growth, we require a wellrounded IT support engineer with logical problem-solving skills and excellent communication skills to join our tight-knit team
Based in Grafton, on the border of the CBD, you’ll be tasked with supporting our clients and platforms both remotely and face to face from simple requests to complex problems. You’ll also be liaising with our senior support and network teams to implement changes and solutions.
This exciting role will also provide the opportunity to mentor the younger team members, build client relationships and assist with managing the daily support queue and tasks.
About you
You are a dedicated IT support specialist with a passion to assist your clients and are ready to take the next step in your IT career. You have 2-3 years technical support desk experience, can communicate effectively and successfully support client platforms with assistance from an experienced team around you.
Excellent understanding of Microsoft Device, Cloud and Server technologies.
2+ years’ NZ based service desk and desktop experience with on-premise solutions (Devices, Servers, backup solutions, network devices).
Experience with call logging systems to manage customer incidents and requests effectively within SLA parameters.
Leadership skills will be preferred along with a holistic approach to support to manage requests based on urgency and skillset of engineers
Passionate about customer service and experience in establishing professional client relationships
Excellent communication skills as you will be liaising with our clients and you will need to explain technical detail in plain English.
IT Certifications are preferred with the ambition to continue to obtain required certifications and upskill in current technologies.
